Catedrala Episcopală cu hramurile „Învierea Domnului” şi „Sfântul Prooroc Ilie Tesviteanul” se pregăteşte de sărbătoare, iar Secţia culturală a Episcopiei Caransebeşului a pregătit programul de desfăşurare a evenimentelor din zilele de 19 şi 20 iulie. Cu această ocazie, va fi adusă racla cu moaştele Sfântului cuvios Grigorie Decapolitul, de la Mănăstirea Bistriţa Olteană, una dintre cele mai vechi din ţară. Moaştele vor fi aduse în ziua premergătoare hramului la Mănăstirea Vasiova, iar în 20 iulie vor fi purtate la Caransebeş. Este pentru prima dată când se sărbătoreşte hramul Catedralei Episcopale de la târnosire, astfel că, la invitaţia Prea-Sfinţiei Sale Lucian, la Sfânta liturghie arhierească vor participa 10 ierarhi ai Bisericii Ortodoxe Române.
